Welcome to the Chesnee Elementary School Team Where Everyone Learns Like Champions!
Perfectly placed at the base of the Blue Ridge Foothills, Chesnee, South Carolina is as rich in tradition as it is in beauty. Chesnee is a small, rural, tight-knit community located ten miles north of Interstate 85 at the intersection of two major highways: Highways 11 and 221. Heritage and the small hometown atmosphere are embodied throughout locally owned businesses, The Senior Citizen Center, CADA Park, Cowpens Battlefield, festivals, community ballparks, parades for Veterans, holidays, and high school athletics. Like our small town, our school promotes a safe, caring, and supportive environment.
We strive to have our parents, teachers, and community members actively involved in our students’ learning. Chesnee Elementary School “begins with the end in mind” by creating a challenging learning environment that encourages high expectations for success. This road to achievement is paved with engaging classrooms that allow for individual differences and learning styles. We are successful when every student grows socially, academically, emotionally and physically.
To increase our students’ horizons, we provide assemblies, artist in residence opportunities, hands-on learning with off campus experiences, technology clubs, school news program, Kids Club Afterschool Program, Beta Club, Gifted and Talented Program, Gifted Art, CES Singers and many more. All classrooms are equipped with the latest technology to enhance students' learning experience and teachers incorporate the use of these daily. We review and focus on our progress from a variety of sources. These components are major contributors to our continued improvement and success with our students.
CES is committed to inspire life-long learners, progress technologically, motivate students and staff, foster a student-centered culture, and provide a safe and equitable learning environment. As we strive to improve continually, we welcome parent and community involvement, teach effective habits, and cultivate responsible citizens.
